Driving from Milan: Routes Worth the Right Car

Milan sits at the centre of northern Italy's best road network — and the car you choose changes everything. A Ferrari Roma Spider on the SP583 lakeside road toward Bellagio feels entirely different from a BMW X7 carrying a family through the Franciacorta vineyards or an Audi RS6 covering the autostrada to Bolzano. We match vehicles to routes and purpose, whether that means a convertible for a weekend Como loop departing early on a weekday morning, or a Maybach S580 with chauffeur for a Malpensa arrival feeding into a week of meetings around Porta Nuova. Every booking includes a clear deposit briefing before you confirm, and we document cross-border terms upfront for clients continuing to St. Moritz or the Dolomites — no ambiguity at the Swiss border.

Handover logistics matter as much as the car itself. We deliver to Milan hotels, private residences, Linate, Malpensa and suburban meeting points, routing around Area C camera zones so you never deal with congestion-charge complications on collection day. For coastal and corniche routes south toward the Ligurian Riviera, we can brief you on road profiles suited to low-slung GTs versus higher-clearance SUVs — practical detail that prevents an expensive misjudgement on tight coastal switchbacks. The fleet covers convertibles, supercars, luxury sedans, SUVs and electric options across seventy-one vehicles, so whether you need a discreet executive sedan for a single airport transfer or a Lamborghini Urus for a ten-day itinerary through Lombardy and beyond, the selection and the logistics are built to fit.

Four reasons clients return to Milan Luxury Cars

01

Delivery to your door, terminal or heliport

We bring your car to Malpensa, Linate, your Porta Nuova hotel, a Lake Como residence or a private aviation facility at Vergiate. Collection works the same way — no queues, no shuttle buses, no rental counters.

02

Event-day coordination that stays invisible

During fashion week, Salone del Mobile or a Grand Prix weekend at Monza, we schedule handovers around your agenda and handle Area C logistics so you never deal with congestion-charge cameras or last-minute route changes.

03

Fleet depth across every use case

Seventy-one current-model vehicles — from a Ferrari Roma Spider for the SP583 lakeside road to a seven-seat BMW X7 for a family itinerary through Franciacorta, or a Maybach S580 when a chauffeur-ready sedan is the right answer.

04

Deposits, insurance and cross-border terms explained before you book

Every quote includes a clear deposit briefing and documented policies for clients continuing to St. Moritz, the Dolomites or other cross-border destinations. No fine print discovered at the handover.

Q & A

Frequently asked questions

A quick read of what most charter clients ask before booking.

  • What luxury car brands can I rent in Milan?

Our fleet of over 70 vehicles includes Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Land Rover and Tesla. Body types range from two-seat convertibles and supercars — such as the Ferrari Roma Spider and SF90 Spider — to seven-seat SUVs like the BMW X7 and executive sedans suited to airport transfers. If you have a particular model or use-case in mind, contact us and we can confirm current availability.

  • Can you deliver the car to my hotel, airport or private terminal?

Yes. We handle delivery and collection at Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN), private aviation facilities, hotels, residences and offices across Milan and the wider Lombardy area. For city-centre handovers — particularly around Porta Nuova, CityLife or the Quadrilatero della Moda — we coordinate timing carefully to avoid Area C congestion-charge complications and parking constraints. Heliport delivery can also be arranged on request. Please specify your exact location when booking so we can confirm logistics.

  • How does the security deposit work?

A security deposit is pre-authorised on your credit card before the rental begins. The amount varies by vehicle category — supercars and high-performance models carry a higher hold than executive sedans or SUVs. We provide a full deposit briefing before you confirm your booking, so there are no surprises. The hold is released after the car is returned and inspected, subject to your card issuer's processing time.

  • Can I drive the rental car across the border to Switzerland or Austria?

We maintain a documented cross-border policy for clients continuing to destinations such as St. Moritz, the Dolomites via the Brenner corridor, or other neighbouring countries. Cross-border travel must be declared at booking so we can prepare the correct paperwork and confirm any additional terms. Not every vehicle in the fleet is eligible, so mention your planned route when you enquire.

  • Do you offer chauffeur service as well as self-drive?

Both options are available. Chauffeur service is commonly requested for Malpensa executive transfers, fashion week schedules and corporate events where precise timing matters more than the driving experience. Self-drive is popular for clients heading to Lake Como on the SP583 lakeside road, Franciacorta's vineyard roads or the Monza area. You can also combine the two — chauffeur for your arrival day, self-drive for the weekend — within a single booking.

  • Which cars are best suited for a Lake Como or Riviera-style driving route?

For the A9 north to Como and the narrow lakeside road toward Bellagio and Menaggio, a GT or mid-size convertible like the Ferrari Roma Spider or BMW 430i Cabrio offers the best balance of performance and manoeuvrability through tunnels and hairpins. Larger SUVs such as the Lamborghini Urus work well for families or multi-stop itineraries that include Bergamo or Franciacorta. We can suggest specific models based on your route, the number of passengers and the season — weekday mornings are best for Como traffic.

  • How far in advance should I book during peak periods?

During Milan Fashion Week in February and September, and Salone del Mobile in April, demand for both chauffeur sedans and self-drive supercars is extremely high — booking several weeks to months ahead is strongly recommended. The same applies to Grand Prix weekends at Monza and the Lake Como summer season from May through September. Outside those peaks, shorter lead times are often workable, but confirming early gives you the widest choice of models and preferred handover slots.
